Title: Facilities Relationship Manager

The Department

The Facilities Department is based in London and Denver where the majority of Janus Henderson’s employees are located. It provides Facilities Management (FM) and Corporate Real Estate (CRE) for all 31 of Janus Henderson’s global offices across EMEA, the US and Pan-Asia.

Overview of the Role

TH Real Estate is a Global Property Asset Management Business in which Janus Henderson held an interest. In 2015 Janus Henderson divested this interest but the FM department continued to provide support services to all of THRE’s global offices.

This role, which is on a 12 month fixed term contract basis, is responsible for the co-ordination and oversight for the provision of these services. Its purpose is to ensure that agreed service levels are maintained and to act as a main interface between the FM team (including service providers) and THRE as the client.

It will provide regular facilities management reporting to THRE and track activities against targets.

The role will also involve supporting THRE’s local management teams for facilities related projects including relocations, establishment of new locations and office refurbishment. It will report into the Head of Facilities and will be the key point of contact with the THRE Managing Director of IT and Operations, who has ownership of FM and CRE in that organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversight and co-ordination of FM and CRE services provision to THRE by Janus Henderson and its service partners

  • Day to day interface between the FM team and THRE

  • Ensure space plans and records of leasehold portfolio are maintained accurately

  • Assisting Head of Facilities and CRE to manage lease events (acquisitions/ disposals/ renewals etc.)

  • Tracking expenditure against budget –operational and project

  • Working closely with THRE’s IT team on moves and changes and office relocation projects throughout the global footprint

  • Provide regular updates on service provision to key contacts within THRE

  • Maintaining office and facilities business continuity plans for London office

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • The role holder will have experience in a CRE or FM department of a multi –national business, ideally with experience in facilities and office services management

  • A proven track record in provision of support services in a client focused environment

  • International exposure preferred

  • Knowledge of Leasehold matters relating to office occupation

  • Financial acumen and ability to deliver services and projects in a cost effective manner and within established budgets

  • Client focused skills

Competencies Required

  • Ability to interact effectively with landlords, tenants, lawyers, professional advisers and contractors

  • Ability to communicate, build effective relationships and influence at all levels within the organisation

  • Ability to co-ordinate and deliver services to support the business in an efficient and client focused way
