Overview of the Role
The individual in this role is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to internal and external clients through the process of on boarding new clients to Janus. He/she will manage the transition of assets/cash to Janus for a variety of account types – separate, sub-advised, SMA (separately managed accounts), etc. He/she will be heavily involved in ensuring all internal departments are prepared to on board client accounts and provide a high level of service on an ongoing basis. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for transactional and maintenance requests, coordinating and managing cash notifications to portfolio management, working closely with a variety of internal departments to address servicing needs and resolve operational issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with Sales and Client Relations to successfully onboard clients to Janus. Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients involved in this process
Oversee onboarding process for a variety of account types – separate, sub-advised, commingled, CIT, ETF, SMA (separately managed accounts), etc.
Main point of contact for client/custodians/administrator throughout onboarding process. Manage deliverables to all parties involved
Coordinate with 15 internal departments to drive onboarding process through to completion. Manage process via internal system and facilitate approval process, signature of agreement, etc.
Handle more complex inquiries and account events
Acts as a liaison between clients, consultants, custodians and internal departments to ensure client cash flow needs are being accommodated
Manage cash flow notifications to various internal departments. Coordinate with client/investment team on timing, etc.
Prepare and perform quality control review of cash flow notifications
Facilitate notification to Portfolio Management and other internal department of transfer of assets into/out of existing accounts.
Perform entry and quality control review of information into internal systems
Identify areas to improve processes in onboarding or notification of monies into/out of existing accounts
Coordinates and/or assists with special departmental projects Other Functions Assumes additional duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities None Technical Skills and Qualifications
Understand various account structures and legal documentation required to establish new accounts
Strong knowledge of the security trading process and impact of various account events on that process
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Intermediate knowledge of financial services with an emphasis on operations and client service
Ability to work effectively in a very fast paced environment while prioritizing and effectively coordinating multiple tasks with little supervision
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively dissect the components of an issue
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Four years mutual fund/financial services industry experience required
One year financial systems experience preferred
One year experience in a client support role or equivalent preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training

Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours
Typical office environment with telephone, copier, financial systems etc.
PC usage up to 100% of the time
